Information: The aim of Kilkenny Photographic Society is to serve our members by encouraging development of photography knowledge through projects, peer support, collaboration, specific interest sub-groups, education, exhibitions, competitions and friendships. The Society promotes member accomplishments within our community and with others who share our love of photography
KPS are a member of the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) and the (Irish) Southern Association of Camera Clubs (SACC) and we regularly participate in competitions. Members are encouraged to pursue accreditations from the IPF and International Photographic Salon competitions, with mentoring and advice available.
Throughout the year, we host a number of activities for members, including studio lighting and practical workshops and outdoor photoshoots during the summer months. We regularly invite guest speakers to talk about their experiences and activities within photography, and guest judges to score competitions.
